We Have Moved!

Please note that we are no longer at our old address at Parkway Towers on James Robertson Parkway.  We have moved to 700 Craighead Street, Nashville, TN 37204.  You will find a link to a map of the new location below.

LOCATION OF 700 CRAIGHEAD STREET, NASHVILLE, TN 37204

We are very excited about the new office environment we have prepared for our clients.  And we are especially happy about the conveniences we are now able to offer with drive up free parking right in front of the entry to the building, and our first floor location making accessibility no longer a problem.

Bankruptcy Basics
Bankruptcy Basics is not a substitute for the advice of competent legal counsel or a financial expert, nor is it a step-by-step guide for filing for bankruptcy.  Neither the Bankruptcy Judges Division nor the Administrative Office of the United States Courts can provide legal or financial advice.  Such advice may be obtained from a competent attorney, accountant, or financial adviser.  Bankruptcy Basics was taken from http://www.uscourts.gov/FederalCourts/Bankruptcy.aspx.  For more related information, you might want to visit that site.
STOP THOSE PHONE CALLS

I can make it illegal for the people to whom you owe money to continue contacting you!  Filing Bankruptcy instantly stops all creditor collection attempts by invoking a powerful Federal Injunction.
KEEP YOUR CAR AND YOUR HOME
I can stop repossesions on your vehicles and foreclosures on your home!  Chapter 13 Bankruptcy is still available for those debtors who have enough money to pay their bills, but need to reorganize under a Court supervised plan.  Chapter 13 is most beneficial to use when a foreclosure is pending.
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MY EXPERIENCE

I can use my years of experience to guide you through the process of filing bankruptcy so that it is not a bad experience.
BE SMART - HIRE A SPECIALIST

If you had a brain tumor, you would, no doubt, see a neurologist.  You would do that because that is his/her specialty - a field of medicine for which he/she has special training. Likewise, if you want to file bankruptcy, you need to see a specialist.  I am a certified specialist in bankruptcy law which means I did not stop my education with law school - in order to be a specialist in this complex law, I have to earn Continuing Education credits every year.
BEGIN THE STEPS TO A FRESH START NOW

If you pick up the phone and make that appointment, I will start the process of your new beginning - your fresh start - immediately!

Can I Still File Bankruptcy - I've Heard The New Laws Make it Impossible to File

Many people feel that they will not be eligible to file bankruptcy because they have heard rumors regarding new laws that challenge their right to file for protection under the bankruptcy laws.  The challenge has actually been to the attorneys - in particular, the attorneys who specialize in bankruptcy law - to figure out ways to help their clients work through the bankruptcy process.  It is still possible for the average person to file bankruptcy even though we have to adhere to some new laws which present some challenges.  Here in Tennessee an organization known at the Middle Tennessee Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys was formed for the express purpose of sharing information and challenges presented by the new bankruptcy laws.
J. Michael Combs is a past president of the Middle Tennessee Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and was one of its founding members.  This is J. Michael Combs' speciality; he has nothing to distract him from his passion for helping people like you who have overwhelming debt problems because he is a certified specialist in bankruptcy law, and this is the only type of law to which he devotes his practice.  As such, you can be assured that he is well-qualified to handle the intricacies of the complex bankruptcy laws as he is required to complete a certain number of hours of continuing legal education in bankruptcy law and ethics in order to remain qualified as a specialist in this area of the law.
